Raising A Healthy Kitten: A Powerful Guide To Caring For Your Newborn
by Warlax
How to Take Care of a Two Day Old Kitten
When you bring home your new two-day-old kitten, there are a few things you need to know in order to take good care of her. Here are some tips on how to get started:
1) Keep Your Kitty Safe And Warm First and foremost, make sure your kitten is safe and warm. She needs to be kept away from cold surfaces and drafts, as these can cause her body temperature to drop dangerously low. Place her in a warm place with plenty of soft bedding, like an oven mitt or towel wrapped around a hot water bottle. If she gets too hot, place her in a cool place for a little while until she adjusts.
Mittens will work great for this! 2) Feed Her Well Make sure your kitten is getting the right amount of food and water – both during the day and at night. A healthy kitten will eat three times per day ( morning , noon , and night ), but if your cat seems hungry more often than that, give her extra food during those feeding times rather than making her wait until nighttime. Just be careful not overfeeding; obesity can lead to health problems down the road for both cats and dogs alike. Drink plenty of clean fresh water every day as well . 3) Brush Her Teeth Cleanly Twice A Week This one may seem obvious, but it’s important to brush your cat’s teeth regularly – especially if she has been eating raw meat or other crunchy foods which can contribute tartar buildup on her teeth . You’ll want to use a toothbrush made specifically for cats (or ask your veterinarian how best to go about this), wetting it first in warm water before brushing against the teeth . Be gentle; kitties hate being brushed with hard bristles! 4) Play With Her Often Playing with your kitten keeps them active and mentally stimulated – something theyll need after all that newborn fuzz starts falling off! Toys that move, such as balls or small rodents , make great playthings ; just be careful not to let them get too rough . 5) Provide Plenty Of Love And Attention When taking care of a newborn animal, it’s important not only provide nourishment and shelter but also love – whether that means spending time playing together or snuggling up when he feels tired . The bond between motherhood and fatherhood is essential for kittens’ development into healthy adults; providing loving attention helps ensure this happens successfully !
