How to Care for Your Pet: Tips for Pragya Dog Owners
If you have a Pragya dog, taking care of her is important. Here are some tips for caring for your pet:
-
Brush her regularly. A good brushing will remove dirt, dried saliva and other debris from her coat. You can use a wire brush or an electronic brush, depending on the type of coat your dog has. Be sure to brush in all directions and be patient; it may take several minutes per side. If your dog suffers from matting or tangles, you may need to shampoo her more often than once a week.
-
Trim her hair regularly. Short hair needs less attention than long hair, but regular trimming will keep it healthy and clean and prevent mats from forming. Clippers that cut evenly around the circumference of the fur are best; avoid those with pointed blades that can cause injury if they nick your dog’s skin.. If you opt not to clip your dog’s hair yourself, find a groomer who does this regularly and ask them to recommend a reputable shop..
3 . Keep her warm in wintertime . Dogs naturally cool themselves by panting; however, when temperatures drop below freezing outside, their breathing becomes more difficult and they start to shiver uncontrollably.. To help keep your pet comfortable during colder weather, provide plenty of fresh water (or frozen water), place a heating pad near her bedding or under her body if possible, and put some blankets inside her crate so she’ll stay warm while confined.. If all else fails and temperatures remain below freezing throughout the day,, try wrapping your pet in a warm blanket before leaving home ..
