How to Properly Care for Your Pet During Home Boarding
When you are away from your pet, it’s important to do everything possible to ensure their care. Here are a few tips for properly caring for your dog or cat during home boarding:
-Make sure the pet has plenty of fresh water and clean food. If you’re leaving them with a pet sitter, make sure they’re getting enough exercise too!
-Keep an eye on the animal’s weight and adjust their diet accordingly if needed. Pets can easily become overweight or obese when left alone, so keep an eye on how much they’re eating and make sure they’re getting the right amount of exercise.
-Check on their health regularly; don’t leave them without any way of communicating with you if something seems wrong. Make sure they have all their vaccinations up-to-date and get treated for any illnesses before you go away.
“If there is anything that we can do to help ease your mind while you are away, please don’t hesitate to reach out,” says Caroline Pardozzi, Director of Client Relations at Rover Dog & Cat House in Somerville MA.”
